The BlackBerry 10 leakage continues! Hot on the heels of the emergence of a document with some purported details on the first BlackBerry 10 handsets, some new images have surfaced showing what may be the new version of BlackBerry Messenger for RIM's upcoming operating system. According to N4BB, users will be able to change the theme of the new BBM. For example, the leaked doc says that utilizing a black theme with darker colors will cut battery consumption by around 25 percent, and further optimizing the theme for an OLED display could decrease battery use by up to 75 percent.

While it doesn't look like BlackBerry Messenger will see a radical overhaul in BlackBerry 10, the ability to change themes to help save battery life sounds like a nice addition to RIM's messaging platform. It's not yet clear when we'll be able to give this new iteration of BBM a go for ourselves, as RIM has only said that BlackBerry 10 will be coming sometime later this year, but a rumor from yesterday claimed that the first BB10 device may hit shelves as soon as September.
