Earlier this year saw the 10-inch Toshiba Thrive make its way to stores complete with a Tegra 2 core and full-size USB and HDMI ports, and tomorrow the Thrive's little brother will get its own shot at retail stardom. Toshiba has revealed on its website that its Thrive 7-inch Tablet will go on sale tomorrow, December 11th, with a price tag that Engadget reports will come in at under $400.
Upon first glance, the Thrive 7-inch looks a lot like its 10-inch counterpart, but the similarities between the two don't stop there. The 7-inch model also includes a 1280x800 display, Tegra 2 processor, 5-megapixel camera, 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, Honeycomb and 16 or 32GB of storage, just like the larger Thrive. However, the 7-incher drops the full-size ports found on the 10-inch model, instead packing mini USB and micro HDMI ports, as well as the removable battery on the bigger slate. It's kind of a bummer that those features are missing on the Thrive 7-inch since they were some of the most interesting aspects of the 10-inch Thrive, but for those in the market for a smaller tablet, the trade-offs might just be worth it.
