Well, this is interesting. What you're looking at above is allegedly a cease and desist letter sent by Samsung that, if it's legit, confirms the existence of the Nexus Prime. The email was reportedly sent by Samsung's General Counsel in response to a rumored firmware leak for the Nexus Prime. You can find an image of the email below (and an enlarged version right here). The meat of the document reads as follows:
"It has come to our attention that you are wrongfully in possession of, and intend to release or publicly disclose without Samsung's consent, firmware for the Nexus Prime. By this letter, Samsung orders you to immediate cease, desist, and refrain from any and all such activities.
The Nexus Prime firmware is the exclusive property of Samsung and/or its partners, suppliers and affiliates. Any continued retention, use, or disclosure of Nexus Prime firmware, and/or Samsung's confidential, proprietary, and trade secret information pertaining to the Nexus Prime, will expose you to significant liability, both civil and potentially criminal."
In other Nexus Prime news, a Samsung-made device carrying the model number GT-I9250 recently earned its Wi-Fi certification. There's no direct mention of the name "Nexus Prime" in the filing, but the GT-I9250 model number is believed to belong to the next Nexus handset.
There's been some question as to the cease and desist letter's authenticity, mostly due to the fact that there are a few spelling errors contained in the email. As with most leaks, it's definitely possible that this is one big fake, but there's also a chance that it is the real deal and that someone just missed a couple of typos in their hurry to get the letter out. What do you all think? Did Samsung really confirm the Nexus Prime in a C&D letter or are you saying "Fake?"
