Earlier today we reported on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, a device that appeared in Samsung's official IFA Unpacked app and is scheduled to make its debut at that very event in Berlin next week. Turns out that we may not have to wait until then to see the Tab 7.7, as the folks at Android-Life have snagged an image of what very well could be the new slate in the wild. There's not a lot to go on in the photo, but the device in question does look a lot like a Tab 10.1 or 8.9 and uses 30-pin connector, just like the ones used by its bigger brothers. Speaking of the connector, the reasoning behind the belief that this is the Tab 7.7 and not an 8.9 or 10.1 is where the cord is plugged in. The port on the larger slates is located on the longer part of the device, while this one is on one of the smaller sides, just like the original Galaxy Tab.
Considering the bevy of 9 and 10-inch Android tablets that we've seen as of late, it's kind of exciting to see Samsung prepping another 7-inch slate. Sure, you get quite a bit more screen real estate on the larger devices, but the 7-inch form factor is awesome for folks that are looking for an extremely portable addition to their computing lineup. Would any of you be interested in snagging a Tab 7.7 or do you prefer your tablets to be a tad larger?
