Sure, we've known about RIM's upcoming lineup of BlackBerry smartphones for months now, but it looks like the Waterloo firm is finally ready to make at least some of them official. The official BlackBerry Twitter account sent out an excited tweet last night that said "New #BlackBerry devices are coming w/ our new OS, BlackBerry 7!" No other details were given, although @BlackBerry did tell us that we should "check back tmrw 4 deets on #BB7FanNight," so check back we will.
There is one device that we don't have to wait for RIM to announce, though, thanks to the folks at Verizon. It seems that someone over at Big Red has clicked a check box that they shouldn't have, as a tutorial video for Verizon's version of the Bold 9930 was posted on the carrier's page for the Bold 9650 earlier today. The clip has since been removed, but the folks at CrackBerry managed to snag it and throw it up on YouTube before it was yanked. Check out the full video below.
So which unannounced BlackBerrys will RIM end up making official in its impending announcement? There are a few possibilities, including the Torch 9850/9860, Torch 2 9810, and Curve 9350/9360, although only RIM knows exactly what it's got up its sleeve. What I do know, though, is that it's about time that RIM made another new 'Berry official. Which handset(s) would you like to see RIM announce?
