There's been plenty of speculation surrounding the Dell Streak 7's launch date and pricing info lately, but this morning T-Mobile ended it all by announcing the official details. Magenta's first 4G tablet will be launching on February 2nd (just like we'd heard) for only $199.99 after a two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate. If you're a little averse to the idea of signing away two years of your mobile life, you can pick up the Streak 7 for a mere $450 contract-free.
While the fact that the Streak 7 is only running Android 2.2 is certainly a bit of a turn-off, I'd say that its $200 on-contract pricing more than makes up for the lack of Honeycomb. Heck, even the off-contract pricing for the tablet is pretty fair. Still, it may be tough to pick up the Streak 7 when you know that the Honeycomb-powered XOOM and G-Slate are just around the corner. So, are any of you going to take the plunge with Dell's tablet?
