Verizon launched the Pantech UML290 and LG VL600 LTE modems along with their 4G network last month, but one important thing was missing from the devices: Mac support. Almost two months later, that's finally (partially) changed, as the Pantech UML290 has been given a driver to work with Macs. There's no word on when the LG modem will get a similar treatment, but don't be shocked if it happens sooner rather than later.
It's kind of surprising that Verizon would launch two new USB modems, especially ones meant to show off their new LTE network, without a trace of Mac support, but it's nice to see the drivers getting pushed out. Now that we're getting these modems set up with Mac drivers, Verizon, you wanna share some details on that LTE MiFi you told us about at CES?
