Wondering if Verizon will be lighting up your hometown with LTE this year and giving you an excuse to pick up a shiny new DROID Bionic, ThunderBolt, Revolution, or Samsung 4G LTE? A full list of markets that Big Red plans to spread its 4G coverage to can be found below. Verizon has said in the past that they plan to have 140 markets covered with LTE by the end of this year, with two-thirds of the entire U.S. blanketed by the end of 2013.
It's great to see Verizon planning to flip its 4G switch in so many markets this year, especially with all of the LTE phones that they've got coming out in the next six months or so. That said, it'd be nice to see them spread their 4G coverage a little more evenly throughout the U.S. (although I may just be a little bummed that there are no markets anywhere near me on this list). So, how many of you will be getting access to Verizon's LTE network this year? Are you going to commemorate the occasion by picking up a 4G device?
