The HTC EVO 4G set the bar for Android phones with a big screen last year, running Google's mobile OS on a big 4.3-inch display. Today the bar was raised by Samsung, though, with its brand new Infuse 4G for AT&T. The Infuse sports a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display which is said to bring better contrast and outdoor readability. Other specs include a 1.2GHz single-core Hummingbird CPU, 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.2 megapixel front-facing cam, and a super thin body. Although the Infuse has "4G" in the name, you won't be getting LTE connectivity with this device. Instead, it'll connect to AT&T's HSPA+ network, meaning that AT&T is taking a page out of T-Mobile's playbook.
It's kind of crazy that the Infuse 4G has a 4.5-inch screen, but if you're at all used to using devices like the EVO or HD2/HD7, then the Infuse should be manageable. With that huge, SAMOLED Plus display, 1.2GHz core, and 4G connectivity, I'd say that the Infuse just became one of the top Android phones you can buy, which is kind of surprising considering AT&T hasn't exactly been known as the go-to carrier for Android. There's no word yet on when the Infuse will be available, but we'll let you know as soon as we do. So, who wants one?
