Well, well, well, what do we have here? The HTC Inspire 4G that was leaked last night thanks to an ad in Rolling Stone is now official for AT&T's network. The 4.3-inch Inspire looks to be our version of the Desire HD, like we speculated, and will be the first device in the U.S. with the new version of HTC's Sense. That means you'll be getting fastboot and services from HTCSense.com like a phone locater and remote lock/wipe. Other features of the Inspire include a 1GHz processor, Android 2.2, and an 8 megapixel camera. We'll continue to keep you updated as we learn more.
It may be kind of disappointing that AT&T is basically getting a repackaged version of the Desire HD rather than an entirely new, exclusive device, but considering ATT's past with Android, I'm sure many customers will take whatever high-end device that they can get. That said, the Inspire still looks like an extremely capable device, and the fact that its got the new version of HTC Sense will be enough to convince a lot of users to pick up HTC's handset rather than one of AT&T's other new Android phones. What do you all think about the Inspire?
UPDATE: More information about the Inspire 4G has come to light thanks to AT&T. Here's the full spec rundown:
