Dell, HTC, LG, and Samsung are all aboard the Windows Phone 7 train, so who's going to be the next manufacturer to join them in working with Microsoft's new mobile OS?  Acer's CEO Gianfranco Lanci says that his company is it.  In a recent interview, Lanci explains that the company was turned off of Windows Phone because they saw "a lot of limitations," opting instead to focus on Android.  The story is a little different today, Lanci says, because he sees the same possibilities for customization in WP7 that's present in Android.

I'm not sure that I'm seeing the customization possibilities in Windows Phone 7 like Lanci is, but I'm sure Acer has something up their sleeve for WP7.  Perhaps something along the lines of what HTC includes on their WP7 devices?  Whatever it is, if they can cook up a WP7 device similar to their 4.8-inch Android-powered monster, then I'll be interested.
