The HTC Merge has had several rumored launch dates, with the latest saying that it would show up at a party tonight. Unfortunately, it doesn't look as though we'll be getting our hands on HTC and Verizon's newest handset today, but that may be changing soon. The folks at Android Central spotted the Merge on Verizon's website earlier today in the form of an interactive 360-degree demo and managed to get everything on video before the Merge was yanked. There's not much in the clip below that we don't already know, but this is a good sign that the Merge is coming sooner rather than later.
Considering how much the HTC Merge has leaked, you'd think that Verizon would've released it to the public a long time ago. As we all know, though, that's not the case, because we're still waiting for the thing to even be acknowledged by Big Red. They've been waiting to announce new phones until a day or two before launch, which makes the wait almost as bad as it would be if we knew the actual release date. At least then, we knew when the frustration of waiting would come to an end. Come on, Verizon, how about you end our suffering and just give us the date already?
