Just a few days ago we heard that Verizon would be unleashing webOS 1.4.5 to its Pre Plusses in two weeks, but it looks like Big Red has decided to surprise us a with an earlier update. According to Verizon's Twitter account, the webOS 1.4.5 update is being pushed out to Pre Plusses today. If the leak we saw previously was true, 1.4.5 will be bringing better Mobile Hotspot connectivity, better web functionality, improved battery performance, and "indie PDK games."
This is definitely great news for Verizon Pre Plus owners, especially since Sprint Pre users have had webOS 1.4.5 for some time now. You have to feel for those Pre Plus owners on AT&T, though, as there's still no word on when they can expect 1.4.5 to be rolled out to their handsets. Maybe AT&T will be feeling generous in the near future and surprise us with an update, too? Let's all cross our fingers and hope. If you're a lucky Verizon Pre Plus customer, let us know when you get the 1.4.5 update!
UPDATE: Just like they said, Verizon has begun the roll out of webOS 1.4.5 to Pre Plus owners. Out of nowhere, AT&T has also begun sending the webOS 1.4.5 to its Pre Plus-toting customers, as well. Enjoy the update, everyone!
