It's been a while since we've heard anything about the Motorola CHARM headed for T-Mobile, but now the device has popped up on Best Buy's website. The most interesting part of this news? Best Buy is advertising the device for only $249.99. It's not clear if this is indeed the off-contract pricing for the device but, considering the slightly-less-than-high-end of the CHARM, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that $250 is the full retail cost. There's still no solid release date for the CHARM, but considering that the device is supposed to hit some time this summer, we should be seeing it sooner rather than later.
It would be a great move for T-Mobile to offer the CHARM at $250 off-contract. At this price, they could set a sub-$100 two-year price, which, combined with the form factor, would really help to move units. If I were looking for a cheap Android handset with a physical QWERTY, I wouldn't hesitate to pick up an off-contract CHARM for $250. Would any of you?
