Motorola, who has been putting just about everything they have behind Android as of late, is planning another new form factor for Google's green robot. This time, however, the device will be a tablet device similar to Apple's iPad, according to "two people familiar with the plan," says Bloomberg. The device will reportedly have a 10-inch screen, like the one on the iPad, and will launch in time for the holidays. Motorola's tablet will also be tied to Verizon's FiOS pay-TV system, said Bloomberg's sources.
It's not surprising at all that Verizon and Motorola are planning on teaming up to create an Android tablet to take on Apple's iPad. There hasn't been many entries in the tablet market in recent memory that have been able to take on the iPad, but if anyone would be able to do it, I'm sure it would be Moto and Verizon. Considering that there have been several reports lately showing the popularity of Android, a tablet featuring the OS has a good chance to be a hit. How many of you would pick up a Motorola Android tablet?
