I have been with Verizon for 10+ years. Recently switched to aT&T and what a mistake. I am disgusted by their billing, non communication, up charges, lack of service, fraudulent charges. If you speak to management, they supposedly come up with a solution and the next day it vanishes and service is interrupted. I don’t trust AT&T for nothing. They are money scammers and have terrible customer service. I would give this company a zero if I could. I am a honest working person, have never not paid my bills, have a good credit score, and this company wants to come up with some discussing amount of money that I owe which is so far from true. There is discrepancies in everything they say from amounts due on a bill to a representative on the phone. I will do anything I can to leave this company, what they do is so wrong and i am utterly disgusted.

AT&T sneaky Billing

I have been paying my AT&T Bill via my banks electronic payment option. Up to Oct. 2019 I normally pay on the due date and AT&T receives it on the same day. But Oct. 2019 I sent it on the due date (10/18) and AT&T claims it did not receive it till the 21st. Of course a late payment was added to my Bill. After an hour and a half on the phone, I finally got an answer from a supervisor: ALL ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS are being held 3 days upon receiving them. This was not told to me and I am sure it was not told to anyone else. SO CHECK your bill, make sure your payments are getting in on time!

AT&T is unacceptable!!

My husband quit his service with them 3 months ago and we noticed today that they charged us this month!! Therefore he called them to see what the charges were for and they went around the charges and started trying to get us to sign back up with them and sell us products that we for sure won’t be buying again. We explained to them the email we got confirming our cancellation and that the equipment was returned to them and they still kept trying to avoid the issue at hand and bill us!! It was completely ridiculous and I will never recommended their services to anyone because of how awful they have been to us!!! We only got the problem fixed after my husband told them issue 8 times and after an hour of telling them no to any products they offer. We are getting our money back but they are a complete waste of time to talk to or do business with!!

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!! I have had ATT for all my services for many years. I decided it was time to upgrade and since then it has been nothing but a NIGHTMARE!!! I was on phone and internet chats over 15 hours since I ordered the Galaxy S9 upgrade. Prior to me purchasing the Galaxy S9 they promised me a trade in value of $200 for my old phone, for a Galaxy S4, which I have in two separate chat transcripts but then I get the email form and it says I'm only going to get $14.00. They are trying to upgrade people on promises they don't intend to keep. Thank goodness I am smarter than that and was able to RETURN the S9 before my 14 day return period expired. I think that's their game. PROMISE you the world, get you hooked on your new phone and then dump on you!! Sorry ATT I am gladly back in my old phone and looking for a new carrier that will provide the service and promises I deserve. It should be ILLEGAL to make these promises IN WRITING and then bomb on your customers!!!! Obviously they don't care about customer service or promises made. Beware, if they consume Time Warner they will monopolize the market and raise their prices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no refund after cancelling service

AT&T is one of the most expensive wireless providers to start with and when I found unlimited service and a much lower price from another company I cancelled my services. It was just a few days into the billing cycle and none of the minutes or data had been used but because " I didn't cancel at the end of a billing cycle" my money would not be refunded. Just one more way for AT&T to rip it's customers off. I payed for a whole month of unused services. Any other company would have pro-rated my bill.

AT&T did not work fo me

Subscribing AT&T was a big mistake. There were significant hidden charges. Every month I had to pay about 30-60% more than it was in my contract. AT&T used every opportunity to make few extra dollars. You may pay for purchases you never made. You may pay for extra data even even though you do not use phone internet at all. You may have a choice of entering the next billing cycle after the end of contract or pay significant charges for each phone even if you cancel contract on the day it ends. After ending service you may find yourself waiting many days before you can unlock your phones because your bills have to be cleared even though you already paid everything in full. You may find yourself calling AT&T several times to solve a simple issue and later find that it was not solved despite promises. Customer service is aggressively dishonest.

AT&T lies

We were having a problem with the phone. The AT&T store clerk said we could save $15 if we switched plans. So, we did, and instead the new plan is $15 more per month, not less. We also lost 1 GB of data in the process, although we never used it, which is why we switched from 2GB to 1GB.

Just left AT&T for another company. They have put me through the ringer with fees, from their system not updating my payment method or my info (they had my name written as Jas, which is not my name and I tried to change it twice to no avail), failure to inform their customer that auto pay once you enroll takes 2 months to process, which I doubt, but they certainly didn't inform me prior to my payment not going through and then charge a late fee. I finally canceled and they tried to charge me for an extra month, after I canceled, not even prorated. The funny thing was I was paying up front, which took several people to figure out, even though I told them multiple times that this was the case. And then they put the final charge through on my previous closed payment account, because I switched banks, which I had removed a month prior online and updated with my new account. then they send me a bill for more money (bounced check and late fees) a month later saying it's my fault and I have to pay it. They finally waved the $25 check fee which was there fault, but refused to refund the late $5 late fee. They are going milk you until there is nothing left they can get, even after you left them. They're like a bad girlfriend, who refuses to break up with you until they've got everything they can. It's a nightmare. Also, they are way more expensive than other services, which makes their money mongering more sad.

ATT Customer Service has officially died

I travel quite a bit for work. I also only use my phone for phone calls and text. I called ATT to get the phone unlocked as they have been charging me a huge amount of money to make phone calls in other countries. They told me they would send me the instructions and I could "do it myself". The instructions came. They said, Back up your phone, Erase your phone, Restore your phone. That is it. No instruction. Back up your phone, Erase your phone, Restore your phone. Okay....I admit, I do not use social media of any kind and I use my phone....as a PHONE. I have no idea how to do any of that. I called ATT for help. Talked to someone in Pakistan who spoke little English. He send me the same instructions. I called ATT again. This time they offered to let me pay for the "passport" service. $1.20 a minute for phone calls out of the country. What choice do I have...at this moment none as I am leaving soon. But as I told the young man on the phone, the moment I land I will switch my entire family (7 lines in total) to TMobile or someone else. Smoke signals would be better than ATT. So my message is....if you are shopping for a cell phone and you catch yourself looking at ATT. RUN FAR AWAY. Check the reviews, they have a terrible record. They will charge you unbelievable prices and their customer service is officially DEAD. Whats more, they could care less if they lose you as a customer. Instructions from ATT: (the sincerely ATT customer care made me want to smash my phone) 1. Back up your iPhone. 2. When you have a backup, erase your iPhone. 3.
