If it's been a while since you've tried Mario Kart Tour or you haven't yet played Nintendo's mobile kart racing game, now may be the perfect time to jump in thanks to a new update that's rolling out today.
Mario Kart Tour now lets you play in landscape mode or portrait mode. Ever since the game's launch in September 2019, the only way to play was holding your phone in portrait mode, but now you've got the option to play in landscape as well.
This is a pretty major new feature for Mario Kart Tour. Not only does it let you see more of the track around you while you're racing, but it also gives the game a look and feel that's more like the console versions.
In addition to support for playing in landscape mode, this update allows players to invite their friends to a multiplayer room that they've created. Nintendo has added support for different events, too, and the company says it'll share more info about those events in upcoming in-game notifications.
Mario Kart Tour is available on Android and iOS. Have you ever played Mario Kart Tour? Does the addition of landscape mode support have you thinking about loading the game up?
