We're still a couple of months out from the full Android 11 launch, but today Google is releasing a new beta for testers to play with.
Android 11 Beta 2 is now rolling out. The update is available to the Pixel 2 and 2 XL, Pixel 3 and 3 XL, Pixel 3a and 3a XL, and Pixel 4 and 4 XL.
If you're already in the Android Beta Program, you should get this new update over the air. Pixel owners not already running the beta can sign up for that program to get it now. As usual, Google is also offering factory images that you can sideload it you'd prefer.
Here's the build info for Android 11 Beta 2:
Date: July 8, 2020
Build: RPB2.200611.009
Emulator support: x86 (32/64-bit)
Security patch level: July 2020
Google Play services: 20.21.17
Google says that this new release focuses on stability. Specifically, it's hitting Platform Stability with Android 11 Beta 2, which means that all of the Android 11 APIs and behaviors are finalized.
There's still one more beta release planned before the full Android 11 launch. It looks like it should arrive in early August, and today we learned that Android 11 could be released to the public on September 8.
