It looks like Samsung will be bringing the Samsung Galaxy A70 smartphone to the U.S. real soon. The report comes from SamMobile, which shares that the original model could soon be landing on the U.S. shores.
This report coincides with the device that was certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) earlier this month. The device carries the model number, SM-A705U. SamMobile shares that the device being developed will be compatible with Verizon’s network. But it’s possible that the other carriers will offer the phone eventually.
The Samsung Galaxy A70 has since been available in other countries since April. Due to its success, the South Korean phone manufacturer has revised the device into the Galaxy A70s. Unfortunately, there is no word on when Samsung will be bringing the Galaxy A70s model to the U.S.
As for the specs of the Galaxy A70, the device comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. It includes a notch with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, the Galaxy A70 comes with three cameras: another 32-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
From within, the device runs on a 2GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor with 6GB of RAM, 128GB onboard storage, and up to 512GB memory expansion via a microSD card. There is a 4,500mAh battery, NFC connectivity, and a fingerprint scanner. Upon release, the phone runs Android 9 Pie.
As of this writing, Samsung has not yet disclosed the exact date on when this device will be available. They are likely aiming to release the device in mid-November at a price of $399.
