The OnePlus 6T made big news last year when it launched on T-Mobile, making it the first OnePlus phone to be available from a U.S. carrier. And now folks who bought a T-Mobile OnePlus 6T are getting a new software update.
T-Mobile is now updating its OnePlus 6T to version A6013_34_190217. The update is 148.3MB and began rolling out over the weekend. If your T-Mobile OnePlus 6T hasn't been updated yet, you can check for the update by going into Settings > System update > Check for update.
T-Mo hasn't posted an official changelog for the update, but we do know that it includes RCS messaging support. RCS offers features like typing indicators, read and delivered statuses, and the ability to share larger files, but only with the built-in messaging app while you're chatting with other T-Mobile customers that have RCS. Other features included with this update are IR94 video calling and the January 2019 Android security patches.
