Nearly one year after the debut of the sixth generation iPad, details on the seventh generation model have leaked out.
The seventh generation iPad is expected to retain the design of the sixth gen model that launched last year, according to a report from Mac Otakara. The Touch ID fingerprint reader is expected to be included in the new model, as is a 3.5mm headphone jack.
One detail that's still up in the air is this new iPad's screen size. One supplier says that the seventh gen iPad's screen is 10 inches, claims this report, while another supplier says that the new iPad's screen is 9.7 inches just like last year's model.
The sixth generation iPad is priced at $329, giving consumers an aggressively priced iOS tablet with Apple Pencil support as well as a Touch ID fingerprint reader and a 3.5mm headphone jack. While it may not be super exciting if the seventh gen model has a design that's unchanged from last year's model, there will likely be a lot of folks happy to see it retain Touch ID and a 3.5mm jack after the iPad Pro ditched both features late last year.
Apple is rumored to be hosting an event on March 25th, so we may learn more about this upcoming iPad around then.
