Before today, the LG G5 had managed to avoid appearing in leaked photos, unlike its Samsung Galaxy S7 and HTC One M10 brethren. However, it looks like that’s no longer the case.
A device that appears to be the LG G5 was recently posted to Dubizzle, a website that lets users sell goods in the United Arab Emirates. The phone has “G5” branding on its backside, and its features seem to line up with what we’ve heard about the LG G5 in past rumors. There’s a dual lens rear camera, rear-mounted fingerprint reader and power button as well as volume buttons on the side. The front of the device has a design reminiscent of the LG G3.
The original post has been deleted, but the seller claimed to have imported the LG G5 from the US. They were asking 2,500 dirhams ($681 USD) for the unannounced device.
Some of the LG G5’s rumored features, like its second screen or the alleged detachable piece that hides a removable battery, can’t be confirmed by these photos. And while we’ll have to wait until February 21 before we know for sure if the device in these photos is indeed the LG G5, it does have several of the features that the G5 will reportedly include when it does officially launch. Good thing we’ve only got five more days to wait before the G5 is introduced in Barcelona.
