Just like earlier this month when the HTC One M9 and Samsung Galaxy S6 were introduced on the same date, both devices are having their availability announced on the same day.
Samsung says that U.S. pre-orders of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge will begin on March 27, will a full-on launch scheduled for April 10, the same day that the HTC One M9 will launch. Both models will be available in Black Sapphire, White Pearl, and Gold Platinum and will have 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB of storage. Both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge will be available on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon, while the Galaxy S6 will be sold on Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, and MetroPCS.
Now that Samsung has announced the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge launch info, U.S. carriers should begin sharing their own release plans and pricing. Here's what we've got so far:
Sprint will offer the Galaxy S6 with an Unlimited Plus plan that includes unlimited talk, text, and data as well as “International Value Roaming” in Telefonica countries. This plan will set you back $80 per month for the 32GB Galaxy S6, but you can upgrade to the 64GB or 128GB S6 for an extra $5 or $10 per month, respectively. The Galaxy S6 edge is also available at a price of $85 per month with the Unlimited Plus plan.
Boost Mobile will sell the Galaxy S6 in Black Sapphire starting April 10 for $649.99 without a contract.
