The cloud storage wars have been heating up lately, with competitors like Google Drive and Dropbox tweaking their plans and launching offers like 1TB for $9.99 per month. Now Amazon has taken things a step further.
Amazon Cloud Drive now offers an Unlimited Everything Plan that will let you store as many photos, videos, music, files, and documents for $59.99 per year. Amazon says that it’ll also give you a free three-month trial before you need to start ponying up for your unlimited cloud storage.
If you just plan on storing photos in the cloud, Amazon’s got a cheaper plan for that. The Unlimited Photos Plan lets you store as many photos as you’d like, as well as 5GB for videos, documents and files, all for $11.99 per year. This plan also includes a free three-month trial to get you started.
Considering that 1TB plans from companies like Dropbox and Google will set you back nearly $120 per year, Amazon’s $60 unlimited plan seems like a pretty nice deal if you need all of the cloud storage. Of course, Amazon Cloud Drive may not have quite as much mobile app compatibility as something like Dropbox, so that’s something to keep in mind.
