Earlier this year, the Boost, Verizon and Google Play edition versions of the Moto G got bumped up to Android 4.4.4. Strangely, the plain ol’ US GSM model remained on Android 4.4.3 that whole time. That’s finally changing, though, as the US-based GSM Moto G is now being updated to Android 4.4.4.
The Moto G’s update to Android 4.4.4 is a small one, weighing in at just 21MB. That’s not really a surprise considering that the update from 4.4.3 to 4.4.4 brings only security and performance tweaks, but hey, at least that means that your update won’t take long to download.
While most Android users are patiently(?) waiting for Android 5.0 Lollipop, it’s still nice to see Motorola updating this particular Moto G to 4.4.4, because it shows again that the company cares about keeping its devices up to date. If you’re rocking a US-based Moto G, head into your Settings app and see if your update is ready!
