Shortly after being officially announced on the Google I/O stage, Samsung’s Android Wear-powered Gear Live smartwatch has been fully detailed.
The Samsung Gear Live looks fairly similar to the Tizen-based Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smartwatches that debuted earlier this year, except that the Gear Live is lacking any sort of camera or home button. The Gear Live’s spec sheet looks like this:
Overall the Gear Live looks like best smartwatch that Samsung has introduced to date. While its specs don’t vary wildly from the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo, the fact that it’ll play nicely with any hardware running Android 4.3 or higher means that many more folks will be able to use it.
The Samsung Gear Live will be available for pre-order later today ahead of its July 7 launch. Pricing will be set at $199.
Now that we’ve got the full rundown on the Samsung Gear Live, how do you think that it compares to the LG G Watch and Moto 360?
