Verizon confirmed last month that its version of the BlackBerry Z30 is "coming soon," and now we may know exactly how "soon" that launch is. According to a photo from the CrackBerry forums that purportedly shows an internal Verizon document, the big red carrier is planning to begin sales of the Z30 on Thursday, Oct. 31. Pricing for the device is listed at $299.99, but the source of the image claims to have been told that another part of Verizon's systems lists the Z30 at $199 on contact and $549 commitment-free, so for now the Z30's price tag is still up in the air.
As with any other release date rumor, it's worth noting that this Oct. 31 launch for Verizon's Z30 is still very much unofficial at this point. The fact that the date falls on a Thursday does give the rumor a bit of plausibility, as Verizon has been known to launch new handsets on Thursdays, but BlackBerry fans may want to hold off on canceling their Halloween plans for now. Stay tuned and I'll give you a shout once we hear more on the matter. Until then, you can pass the time by hitting up Verizon's brand new Z30 landing page and ogling the phone's 5-inch Super AMOLED display.
UPDATE: Looks like the Verizon Z30's rumored Oct. 31 launch date just got some support in the form of another leaked photo. An image shared by N4BB claims to show a separate Verizon document highlighting the Z30's various features, and in the lower left corner of the shot is a "Launch Information" section that includes a launch date of "10/31/2013." The second image can be found below.
