Get excited, BlackBerry fans on Verizon, because the biggest BlackBerry 10 smartphone will soon be lumbering its way onto your carrier's shelves. Verizon announced today that its version of the BlackBerry Z30 will be available online in November for $199.99 with a two-year contract. Customers interested in signing up for the Verizon Edge upgrader program can snag a Z30 at a price of $22.91 per month for 24 months.

As I mentioned earlier, the Z30 is the largest BlackBerry smartphone to ever come out of the company's Waterloo labs. The handset features a 5-inch 1280x720 Super AMOLED display and, thanks to its large size, it also includes a 2880mAh battery that includes wireless charging support. Also packed into the Z30 is a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage with a microSD slot for additional space and 4G LTE connectivity.

The BlackBerry Z30 has been officially official since mid-September and became available through third-party retailers earlier this month, so it's nice to see that the giganto-Berry is finally getting close to hitting the shelves of a U.S. carrier. Interestingly, Verizon's announcement only mentions that the Z30 will be available online in November, so customers may not have the opportunity to actually try the device in-store before buying a unit. That's not going to help move more units if that's the case, but hey, I'm sure that Thorsten and Co. are still pleased to be launching their new smartphone on one of the largest carriers in the country.
