Well, what do we have here? The Samsung Hercules has been the subject of a few leaked reports in the past, but the folks at MobileSyrup claim to have the first actual photo of the rumored dual-core giganto-phone. The device was reportedly spotted at a Samsung Mobile event last night in Canada with a design similar to that of the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S II, except this sucker's said to have a 4.5-inch 480x800 display rather than the 4.3-inch screen found on the GSII. This particular model is allegedly destined for Canadian carrier TELUS, but one commenter points out that that operator has release a number of T-Mobile smartphones in the past — the Vibrant and Galaxy S 4G are two examples — so it wouldn't be a shock to see the Hercules follow the same trek to the Great White North.
So could this indeed be the much-anticipated Hercules for T-Mobile? It's probably a little too early to make a call one way or the other, but it's definitely possible. Looking over the smartphones TELUS has in its lineup, many of them look fairly similar to their T-Mobile counterparts, meaning that the Hercules could end up looking a lot like what you see above when the device hits T-Mobile. When will that happen? The current rumors are pointing toward late September. What do you all make of this photo? Are you feeling the look of the purported Hercules?
