Breaking news from the Palm camp on this Wednesday morning, as the company formally announced its second webOS device, the Palm Pixi. Slated to hit Sprint by the holidays, the Pixi is said to be the thinnest handset to date (thinner than the iPhone, and 20 percent thinner than the smallest BlackBerry, we hear). It will offer a full QWERTY keyboard, touchscreen, and will launch with the Touchstone charging option as well. What's more, the Pixi will be going the way of the myTouch 3G by offering customized back covers.
For those that prefer the Pre, take note: aptly referred to as "the older sibling in the family," it has been marked down to $149.99. Did anyone catch the interesting timing of this? Right before an Apple announcement...interesting. More to come as the information arrives.
