The good: extremely durable!!!!, very handsome
The bad: side buttons
Summary: I've had this phone for about a year and a half and i love love love it! ive dropped it a million times and it still looks brand new! I've even dropped it in a puddle, left it on the wet grass all night.
a few minor things. one is all the side buttons, I always accidentally press them in my pocket. so i put the lock on. also the camera quality is not good..but honetsly who cares! thats what a CAMERA is for!!
The vibrate is very loud! especially in class!
the voice dialing is very hard to use, she(the voice dialing response lady voice)always thinks i said a different name.
In conclusion, this is a simple, very nice looking, feature filled phone for a well price!i recommend it!
And to top it all off, you can set the dialing display to rainbow numbers! :D
The good: It is sleek and fashonable.
The bad: I have a defective unit that the text messageing freezes and it does not matter how big or small the message is. They get stuck in the out box and I have to turn my phone off, then back on. Sometimes they will send on their own once I have turned the phone back on, however most of the time I have to manually re-send. The point where I become displeased is with Alltels lack of desire to fix the problem. I have taken it into the store and talked with "tech support" so much that I am just done.
Summary: The messages get stuck in the out box and I have to turn my phone off, then back on. Sometimes they will send on their own once I have turned the phone back on, however most of the time I have to manually re-send. The point where I become displeased is with Alltels lack of desire to fix the problem. I have taken it into the store and talked with "tech support" so much that I am just done. I have worked for Verizon Wireless and I understand the technical side of phones, so it is really fustrating when I know a phone is defective, but an employee is unmotivated to resolve issues. And yes "RESOLVE" is a Verizon Wireless word not an Alltel word obviously.
The good: Dropped in Toilet, it still works
Small
Nice looking
Dropped in toilet, once again, and still works like new
Indestructible
The bad: none
Summary: I had a friend who had this phone for some time. I've had the Chocolate phone but the last time (and first time) i dropped it, it smashed. This phone was used at bush parties in the sand as a football and soccerball repeatedly. Thrown against walls, still works. Thrown against trees, still works. It is the greatest possible phone i'd ever seen, so i bought one and wow. This phone, for the price, is possibly the greatest deal of the century. It never breaks, even in water, never short circuited. Never got wet inside. Screen is clear, bright and vivid, and the phone itself is stylish, albeit small. I give it a perfect score. If you are buying any phone besides this one, you're making a HORRIBLE decision.
The good: Sound-Phone Very Clear
Sound-Music Clear better with headset or bluetooth though
Can edit "all" documents unlike blackberry
Camera photo quality GREAT
SMS-MMS Email easy to use
It has everything you could possibly want-video capability too! Speaker/hands free plus so much more
The bad: Haven't figured out how to sync with Vista yet! Need special download file
Summary: Has everything anyone could ask for-from a Professional business person to a student . . . it's great !
The good: Speed, power, flexibility, expandability, removable battery, external or touch keyboard, windows mobile 6, on and on
The bad: takes time to learn, comes stylus reliant
Summary: At first glance, you notice a touch screen phone. When you start using this device you think to yourself, "this looks cool, but really what can I do with it?" The answer is everything. Don't worry about the software and touch interface that comes standard with this device. The device, unfortunatley, comes very stylus needy. This is nothing 2 software downloads can't fix. If the ppc6800 you recieve doesn't arrive with windows mobile 6, I would upgrade imediately, due to it wiping out everything you have. Which is another great point, you can back up everything right on your pc so if you lose or damage the phone, your replacement data is ready to go. This device syncs automatically with ease--all you have to do is set it in the cradle. My fiance has an iPhone which is awesome to impress your friends. My phone actually does more at this point than the iphone ever could. The htc touch interface works on the ppc6800. It is really rare that I need to pull the stylus out of the holster with this device(but in a pinch I'm glad it has the option). With any touch device the onscreen keyboards are just not accurate or efficient. I have used palm, windows, and iPhone. With my big fingers onscreen typing isn't an option; I'm glad it has the slide-out keyboard(one of the main reasons I got it). Here is a list of things I have done with my device in the past 6 months: used outlook for email, took and printed pictures, loaded 8,500 songs, expanded memory the 8gb with micro sd, set over 3500 appointments on my pc and had them simultaneously synced, i have used this device as a router to guide two notebook pc's to the internet, made pie charts, viewed pdf's, created exel and word docs, watched streaming internet videos and television in full screen, have had the device convert half a million written words to readable text, charged this device through my computers usb port, nearly matched functionality and beat the iPhones's ability head-to-head.

The possibilities are endless with this device. My old palm treo 600 didn't hold a candle to this thing. It takes two to three weeks to learn this device, but it will save you some much time and effort in the long run. I would also like to commend alltel. Never had any service problems and signal is always great.
The good: Great national service area. Customer service is above the norm.
The bad: Try to push unwanted services, but they all do.

Summary: Service is better than most. Got good help picking my second phone. Largest national area. Unless you want to go into the boonies you will have reception.
The good: Awesome coverage area, fair prices
The bad: Crippling phones.
Summary: I signed up with Verizon on a 2yr in Oct 2007 with a Motorola w385. So far so good. I have no major complaints about VZW and so far Im happy. The fact that they remove certain features from phones is disconcerting, but really can't do anything.
The good: unlimited plus more unlimited.... great for people who dont want to watch the min.s they talk on the phone
The bad: small amounts of local coverage area, small choice of phones,
Summary: I use Cricket everyday and is great in the city I live in.. But it takes a long time to go over to roam once the phone leaves the local area. The rates are fair, and it is easy to pay my bill because I can pay it at my local gas station. The best thing I like is cricket is like a landline phone but is portable and you can call everywhere in the US for free
The good: Sleek looking, sturdy feeling, good call reception, good photo quality
The bad: Kinda hard to see screen if it's really bright outside, touchy joystick
Summary: I just got this phone a week ago, and I have put it to the test! I has very good service on AT&T's new 3g network. Extremely user friendly. The sound quality while talking is great! (Just make sure you don't put your hand over the antenna which is the bottom of the phone!) The music setting is pretty nice, however it isn't compatible with MP4's which has created a problem for me. I love the look... (I got the red one) Overall a pretty good phone and I am extremely satisfied with it!
The good: Nothing
The bad: It dials at random.
Summary: I have had this phone for almost 2 years. the warranty is only for 1 year. I did buy the insurance. I have never went over my minutes, but with this phone dialing out at random I have over $300.00 in phone overages. Customer service says sorry about your luck.
The good: great features
The bad: a lot of glitches
Summary: We purchased three of these phones one month ago. We are really considering asking to return them and get different ones. So far two of them have "frozen" at the opening screen and are being "fixed" by are provider. Not a good omen that two out of three are in for service in less than one month. I would not recommend
The good: Price and coverage
The bad: Customer Service Reps are inept and cannot help at all.
Corporate policies are stupid and pointless.

Summary: I waited 1 year to get rid of Verizon after been their customer for 10 years and for a few months I kept looking for the best cellphone carrier that could match to Verizon service, the winner: Boost Mobile!!
So I purchase their weak phone and tried to port my old number unsuccessfully because I activated the phone because I had no other phone available to call BoostMobile and port my old phone, well to my surprise they couldn't help me because I had activated the phone and got a new number. ONLY boost mobile does that... all other companies will cancel your newly activated number and port in your old number!
Changes to your account/plan can/will only take place on your monthly renewal date, not before nor after.
Customer service nows nothing about what they're paid to do. I know more about cellphone companies/networks/services/coverage and technology than all of them together.
The good: It is a very sleek phone. The color is great but could be a little lighter. Can easily be customized. Expanded memory. Mp3 player. Good service quality in most places. The Samsung quality that you can expect. Many options when using the camera, and recording messages and sound. Nice key layout.
The bad: Keys are really flat. The phone gathers fingerprints well. Battery life is okay. Outside keys are pretty pointless unless you use the Mp3 player a lot (but they make the phone more eye-catching). The new ringtones are not as lengthy.
Summary: This is a great phone! In general, it has everything you need on a basic cell phone and more. The phone itself holds up great and will gain a few scratches on the way but does not break when you drop it one time. If you want to send a lot of text messages, this will do! Invest in a MicroSD card for extra memory for pictures and music, and enjoy your new Samsung Sync!

It has definately proved better than my Moto Razrs and Rokrs!

The good: Good customer service, GET IT NOW, cell phones
The bad: Some dropped calls in rural areas, short battery times on phone
Summary: I have been with Verizon for close to 6 years and I have liked it since I got it. One of the better companies around. They're plans cost more, but to me it's worth it in the long run. I plan on staying with them when I renew my contract this summer. I don't see myself going to any of the other companies
The good: I have had Verizon longer than it has been Verizon. I have had the same phone # for going on 20 years. I was here when it was another company, before Verizon took over the company.
The bad: It has it ups and downs but over all is the best on to have.
Summary: Was with another company the first 2 years. When you needed help, they was never around. I moved to Verizon and will not change again.
Most of you don't know this, but years ago to call out of your area you had to call the tower in that area first. They gave you a list of phone numbers of all the towers in the USA. Then when you got the tower you could call the number you wanted.
The good: sleek design, fast contact entry, clear ear piece and spaekerphone.
The bad: long set-up,a troubling ringtone downloading process and the manual doesn't include much help at all
Summary: The pearl is equipped w/many great applications that makes communication pleasant and fun. I am enjoying the phone daily while learning how to operate it!!!
The good: Helpful customer service and very reliable phone.
The bad: Verizon blocks a lot of the Razr's features (transferring photos to/from your phone requires the purchase of separate software). Also, their plans are quite limited.
Summary: I bought a Motorola razr 3vm about 2 years ago through amazon.com and the phone is great. The only problem I've had in that time was a sudden loss of service, but a quick call to Verizon customer service informed me that a simple restart was all that was needed (I had almost never turned it off before then and apparently that can lead to an unhappy phone). Now keeping in mind that this was my only contact with customer service over the phone (I guess that's a good thing), I found them friendly and helpful. I wasn't overly impressed with the service in the store.

The reception isn't as reliable as my previous phone/carrier (Virgin Mobile), but it's never been a problem. Some of my calls are dropped and reception can definitely cut out, but it's usually in an area that I'd expect it (basement of a 7 story building, ect). Unfortunately, this carrier is no longer the best deal for me (my friends have switched to US Cellular - making the verizon's IN feature pointless), but I would have liked to stay with Verizon had they offered a more flexible plan menu. Overall, this has been a positive experience.
The good: Coverage
The bad: Nothing yet
Summary: We have had alltel for 8 years now. They have given us an additional 100 free minutes per month when we hit 5 years. Love the service. Had a nextel and hated it.

PS. dial *228 to upgrade phones roaming service
The good: Mobile IM, Internet, pretty much everythong!

The bad: Nothing at the moment
Summary: I have only used this for about 2 days, but I love it! I would not want another phone. Th baterry stays charged, charged within 5 min after it came with a preloaded battery. I so recommend it!
The good: Have a great plan for local and over seas calls
The bad: Not a huge selection of cell phones
Summary: I have been with this company for almost 5 years now. Whenever I call, no matter what time of day it is, there has always been someone with a friendly voice to greet me. Every issue that I have ever had, which hasn't been many, were always resolved in a quick and timely manner. I am so glad that I changed over when I did, and am very happy with this company.
