I have read most of the comments on this site. Most Cons deal with service reps and deal with malfuctions of the cell phone. Service providers don't make the cell phones and naturaly can't service or give warrantees on their performance. When you read the whining on cell phone (radio) performance it's not the service providers responsibility, it's the cell phone manufacturer. I.E. Motorola, Nokia, Samsung etc
The good: Cheap for its very rich functionality, excellent sound quality
The bad: CSTN Display, feeble camera
Summary: This is an excellent phone. I enjoy it and hope that I will have no problems with it!
The good: nice keyboard, side sliding, takes nice pictures
The bad: bluetooth doesnt work, have to pay for ringtones
Summary: I like this phone but its da fact that im a ringtone finatic but i have to pay 3 dollars for every ringtone i want. i tried recording a song and set it as a ring tone but it dooesnt let u do that. then i trien to get someone to bluetooth me some songs but the bluetooth doesnt work. like i said wen i first got the phone i fell in live wit it but wen i realized wat it was about and how it was....now i hate and am ready for a upgrade....or even a downgrade for that matter
The good: Price is right
The bad: So-So Customer Service
Summary: Switched from AT&T Family talk to Net10 as I was sick and tired of all the taxes and surcharges on my monthly bill and wanted to control costs and minutes used by my two teenagers. Net10 has worked well for us although we had a little confusion with the porting of our phone numbers as I found the instructions at the web site a little confusing - but a call to customer service corrected the problem - and the next two ports I did successfully on the Internet and were complete within 1 business day. I don't know where Net10's call center is but I did have a little problem with understanding a couple of their people - their English was fine but they had very heavy accents but we were patient with each other and it worked out. I haven't had a problem with coverage area, reception, dropped calls but I am not a heavy cell phone user only 200-300 minutes per month. If you want all the bells & whistles Net10 is NOT for you. With AT&T I had a Motorola Razr with Bluetooth - you WILL NOT find a comperable phone with NET10 and I do not believe that any of their current phones support Bluetooth technology. In summary: if you want cell phone service at a true 10 cents per minute with no hidden fees this is the way to go.
The good: Small, no useless features, good reception
The bad: Terrible battery life, small keys
Summary: I bought this phone in Dec 2007 and have had it into the Alltel store 4 times since. I have had very bad reception, then that was fixed, then people couldn't hear me, though I could hear them. That was also fixed, now my battery will go dead in about 24 hours, and reception is becoming poor again.

I love the concept of this small phone, but the pain it is to take it into get fixed once a month isn't worth it!
The good: Touch sensative external music player
The bad: Breaks Easily, Smudges easily, constantly having to charge the phone, and Mirror breaks EASILY!
Summary: I got this phone in december and it worked great, until the warranty was over on the phone. Mine snapped in half very easily and the verizon people said that I broke it but the screen was glitching before it broke. Everyone I know had a KRZR and at least is on their second one.
The good: The phone is a nice phone. It is my first sliding phone and QWERTY key pad. The email with no internet plan needed is very nice. Very good for a first time phone.
The bad: The Cons, well, this wasn't my first phone, I plan buying my old model of phone at FULL price cause I can't stand this one. The battery life Stinks, it barely lasts half a day if you use it alot and even you'll get to two bars to one bar within a day if it sits. The messaging is a pain cause if you send the same text to multiple people, you have to WAIT till that message is sent to each person one by one. Also if the signal is lost, it won't continue sending the message till you tell it you tell
Summary: The Samsung Blast is a good choice if you are thinking about purchasing your first or upgrading from a really old model. It's really good for Email and IM, but lacks in user friendly personalization and also consistent functions for all the features. All in all, first phone, Awesome, but if you are used to high end phones like the RAZR, SideKick, Shadow (esp Shadow), BlackBerry or similar, think twice.
The good: Has some cool features like when you reply to a picture message it ask you if you like to reply by a picture message or text only.
The bad: Alarm clock doesn't stay on long 30-60 seconds. Phone itself has poor reception.
Summary: Basically it has some cool features and you can download some cool applications for it but the phone has bad reception lots of dropped calls. I actually upgraded my phone with the same service and have no dropped calls. Also I use the new phone is same places I used the Kyrocera k323. The cool thing about this phone is that it very sturdy and small. I didn't like the fact that when I used the internet it always froze on this phone. But simply this phone would be good for someone who wants a phone for basic use and has a camera.
The good: the style is just fine not so much pretty coz its big and not handy
The bad: the battery last long for about 5 hours straight talking
Summary: the screen is big, which is panalo to me however its very heavy and its very mabigat for me to carry it on hand.. i should put it in a pouch or bag always
The good: Great PDA, Fast Connectivity, Nice MP3 Player
The bad: Klunky phone feature
Summary: I love this as a PDA and like it very much as a phone. Nice and heavy and easily upgraded to more memory. Very easy to use if you're familiar with Windows. Battery life lower if you keep your bluetooth on, so turn that baby off :-) Nice phone overall.
The good: Unlimited text, calling (within the US), unlimited pics.
The bad: The Roaming package doesn't always work where they say say it will!
Summary: Really my only complaint with Cricket is the Customer Service. As seems to be the norm with most if not all Cricket customers. When calling for billing questions, tech. support or any other phone related question I have NEVER been able to get one person that I can understand. And not in a comprehensive manner. These people speak limited and very broken ENGLISH!! I dread whenever I have to call! It makes me crazy! If I were to ever switch to a different service provider, that would be the reason!!
The good: Tons of features. Low battery life.
The bad: Tons of features
Summary: While most people appreciate a phone with bluetooth, games, music and internet I am not one of them.

When I shop for a new phone I want three things.

1: simplicity of the device. No extra features to drain the battery. My phone is for calling people, not for surfing the internet.

2: long battery life. I like a phone that will last a few days on a charge with minimal use. This phone lasts about a day and a half.

3: excellent speaker and microphone quality. I need to be able to understand what people are saying to me and likewise what I am saying to them.

in short this is a great phone for the normal user. Just not exactly ideal for me.
The good: easy txting, good quality of pictures, nice color,
The bad: while talking on the phone it vibrates and when you barely touch it it vivbrates
Summary: I got this phone and i absolutely love it. Theres lots of stuff to do on it and its easy to txt on.
The good: It can take the memory card, unlike the Heat, the smaller version of this. Small, light, and has decent battery life.
The bad: Battery sometimes falls off in my pocket since there is no real case made for it.
Summary: I got the Drift because after three months my Heat phone wouldn't let me dial. I got this phone and was just as happy if not more so with the features that came with this phone. They rushed me out another phone and for unlimited text messaging, picture messaging and 500 minutes is a good deal. It also comes with unlimited GPS, internet and just about anything else you can think of. With insurance included I am still happy with the price of my phone.
The good: Phones, service, call quality, plans
The bad: None
Summary: I have never had a problem with Sprint, they have the best phones (Sanyo), great plans to choose from, and excellent reception wherever I go. I have had Sprint for over 8 years and have no plans on ever switching service.

People who complain about Sprint are the ones who constantly switch providers and dislike them all. My answer is to move out of the sticks and quit your complaining.
The good: The phone is very sleek, thin and not too difficult to use. I would say that is if for music lovers because it can carry your iPod and you can make them into ringtones and such. Another safe feature is that once the screen dims, and eventually turns blank or goes to sleep, it locks the buttons, so that if it is being carried around and hits something in your purse or your pocket, nothing happens. The phone is very appealing to teenagers and preteens, (being one myself) but also to any music lov
The bad: To download songs from the computer, you must by a USB adapter(sold seperatley). If you like to talk on your cell for over three and 1/2 hours, you might have a problem because that's how long the battery holds up. if you enjoy texting, i would not get this phone because it does not have a key board. if you like the sliding feature, but also to text, I advise that you check out the Pantech Duo, it slides into a keyboard as well as to numbers. These are the only con.
Summary: Overall, this Samsung slider is a very good phone. the images and text are clear and it is camera is outstanding. it is similar to a Juke only because of the music feature(as i think the juke is too small) the style is very sleek and simple, as is the phone itself. I'd give it a two thumbs up as an owner of this phone
The good: Inexpensive mobile phone. No contracts to sign. For $30 you get the phone AND 300 minutes of talk time. If you don't like it, you just toss it.
The bad: Poor customer service communications skills. If you ever need to use their customer service, you will be disappointed.
Summary: I had a business friend visiting from Europe. I thought it would be wise to get her a cheap Net10 phone so that she could call me if she needed anything while visiting and to call her family in Europe (since overseas calls are only 15 cents a minute - great price).

Well, I purchased the phone and then activated it on the internet. They gave me a 10 digit number that I assumed was the new phone number. North Carolina area code? Oh well, no matter, it's 10 cents a minute regardless of roaming. The next day I got a message on the phone with the REAL phone number. They gave me a VA phone number, but I wanted a 703 area code and somehow I got a 540 area code. Again, not a biggy, since my friend would be using it.

Gave the phone to my friend and we attempted to make a call to her home in Europe. Service Not Available is what it said. I went home and read on the Net10 website that you have to ACTIVATE the international calling feather FIRST. Why didn't they state this somewhere in the user literature? No problem. I activated the international service online. Then it said it would take up to 72 hours to activate the international feature. Hmmm. So, I waited 3 days. Phone still would not call overseas. Waited till the 4th day - still not working. I activated it again online. Waited another 4 days. Still not working. By this time my friend was already leaving to return to Europe. I ended-up paying much more for her phone calls because she called her family from the hotel I had put her up in. My grand plans of saving money did not work.

I called customer service to explain that I wanted to do two things; change the area code to 703 AND add the international calling feature. The man on the phone said no problem. He got the international calling feature to work in an hour (not days!). But, when I called back to ask about the area code change, I was given the run around. They had to mail me a new SIMM card, and deactivate my phone for a week until it arrived in the mail.

One last feature on my phone that does NOT work is the adding airtime on the phone. When I go to the Add Airtime screen on my Nokia phone, it simply reads Not Available. I added minutes on the internet, but then had to call customer service again when the minutes never showed on my phone after 2 days. They finally solved the problem.

Summary: Cheap phone service. Great for kids or friends from out of town. Just hope you don't have to call their customer service center.
The good: The phone is very easy to use, and has all the features I want except a qwerty keyboard.
The bad: I have had the phone about 1 month. The alarm will go off sometimes when set, and sometimes while going off it cannot be shut off unless I turn the phone off. When sending an outgoing message, the phone will freeze up sometimes, and I have to press end call repeatedly to get back to the home screen. The battery life is not good either. Two days ago, I tried to answer a call with the green "call" button, but the phone went to silent and would not answer the call. The reception is very inferior to
Summary: I like the slide feature, but the phone has let me down. It has the features I want, as I have the Oakley OROKR sunglasses that Motorola did the audio for. Sometimes the phone will connect correctly with the sunglasses, sometimes not. I was happy with the phone until about 2 weeks ago, when I started having little irritating problems as mentioned before. Also, it should have a decent memory capacity, but with only 2 songs stored on the phone, it says I cannot store any more songs on the phone. I do however have a memory card, so I can put music on it. I am going to give the phone one more try with a new replacement, but if the next one has the same problems, I am finished with ANY Motorola phone.
The good: Free Incoming Everything!
Great Selection of Phones
Friendly Instore & Phone Customer Service
The bad: Dont have a CON to say about them yet!
Summary: I've only been a customer with them for 3 months now but i have to say they are an exceptional company. I was a little skeptical at first because when i told everyone i was gonna try US Cellular i got all kind of "don't do it's!". But so far so good i have not had ONE dropped call and my reception is almost ALWAYS on 4 bars. I would recommend them to anyone in the midwest. I wish they had the company in all 50 states i would recommend them to my family in other states!
I have nothing but good things to say about Tracfone. I wanted to use my old cell phone number on my new tracfone. Customer service was a little hard to understand because of their accent, but they were terrific. It only took
two days and everything went smoothly. Reception on tracfone is great. I have NO complaints.
