The parking features in Google Maps are expanding.
Google is rolling out a “Find Parking” feature in Google Maps for Android. When you look up directions, you can tap the Find Parking button to locate a parking garage or lot near your destination that will be added to your trip. Once you’ve parked, Google will give you walking directions to your final destination.
This new Find Parking feature is rolling out in 25 cities: Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas/Fort Worth, DC, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York City, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Diego, Sacramento, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, and Tampa.
Additionally, Google is launching the parking difficulty indicator in 25 more cities outside of the U.S. This feature will let you know whether parking at your destination is limited, medium, or easy, and it originally began rolling out in 25 U.S. markets earlier this year.
The 25 cities that are gaining this parking difficulty indicator today are: Alicante, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Cologne, Darmstadt, Dusseldorf, London, Madrid, Malaga, Manchester, Milan, Montreal, Moscow, Munich, Paris, Prague, Rio de Janeiro, Rome, Sao Paulo, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Toronto, Valencia, and Vancouver.
