Earlier this month, a Motorola 2017 product roadmap leak gave us a peek at some upcoming Moto devices. Now some leaked images are giving us a closer look at two of those devices.
Images that allegedly show the Moto G5S (above) and Moto G5S Plus (below) have leaked out. The devices look fairly similar, with both Moto phones appearing to have metal bodies, round rear camera housings, and front-facing cameras with a flash. Both devices also have pill-shaped fingerprint readers below their displays.
While the Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus share some design features, there are also some differences to note. One of them involves the rear cameras, with the Moto G5S Plus packing a dual rear camera setup while the Moto G5S has a single rear camera. Additionally, the Moto G5S is expected to have a 5.2-inch 1920x1080 display, while the Moto G5S Plus will reportedly pack a larger 5.5-inch 1920x1080 screen.
Also rumored to be included with the Moto G5S Plus is an octa-core processor and Android 7.0 Nougat.
There are still a lot of details about the Moto G5S and G5S Plus that are unknown, including when they’ll launch, how much they’ll cost, and exactly what Moto’s plans for are them. We’ve already got the Moto G5 and G5 Plus to fill out the affordable smartphone segment, and there’s the rumored Moto X4 that looks like it’ll come in at the upper mid-range. Here’s to hoping that Moto announces these devices soon so that our questions can be answered.
