Pokémon Go players, it’s time for another big event!
Developer Niantic has announced a new Valentine’s Day event for Pokémon Go. Running from 11:00 am PST on February 8 through 11:00 am PST on February 15, this event will give you double the candy when you catch, hatch, and transfer Pokémon. You’ll get double candy from your Buddy Pokémon, too.
Additionally, you’ll see more pink Pokémon in the wild, like include Chansey and Clefable. You’ll also be more likely to hatch a Cleffa, Igglybuff, or Smoochum from an Egg.
Finally, Lure Modules will last for six hours during this event, which is quite a bit more than their normal 30-minute run time.
While Pokémon Go isn’t quite as popular today as it was when it launched last year, there are still people working to fill up their Pokédex. This is a nice event for them, as the increased candy rates will help to evolve Pokémon faster, and rare Pokémon like Chansey will be easier to find. So if you’re playing Pokémon Go, get out there this week and start hunting!
