UPDATE: Gordon also says that HTC will announce other devices that are getting Android N updates later this year after the update is released to manufacturers.
With the debut of every major Android update comes the question from users: Will my phone get this update? We’re still months away from the public release of Android N, but HTC went ahead and today confirmed three of its phones that will be updated to N.
HTC says that the HTC One M9, One A9, and HTC 10 will all receive the Android N update. As for when those updates will arrive, that info will be released later this year when Google completes the update and ships it to manufacturers.

HTC’s announcement isn’t terribly surprising, as the One M9, A9, and 10 are three of HTC’s latest hero phones and they’ve all been released in the past year or so. That said, if you happen to own one of those three phones, it’s still good to get confirmation straight from the source that you’ll receive an Android N update. And if HTC continues to be as speedy with updates as it’s been lately, you M9, A9, and 10 owners may not have to wait long after Android N’s public release to get your updates.
One other note is that while it’s not confirmed for Android N, there’s still a chance that the HTC One M8 will get the update, too. Jeff Gordon, HTC’s Senior Global Online Communications Manager, said today that it hasn’t been decided whether or not the One M8 will be updated to N. HTC will likely need to get its hands on Android N and determine if the aging One M8 can offer a good experience before it decides whether or not to push an update to the public, so keep a positive attitude and we’ll update you when HTC makes its decision.
Not sure yet. Not saying yes or no yet, however please note M8 over 2 years old now. https://t.co/NlYyN6WMJ1
