Shortly after unveiling its Spro Plus, a souped up Android projector, ZTE has taken the wraps off of a couple of new Android smartphones, too.
The ZTE Blade V7 has a full metal body that ZTE touts has a 78.2 percent screen-to-body ratio. The Blade V7’s 5.2-inch 1920x1080 screen also includes 2.5D curved edge glass for a more premium look. Another highlight feature of the Blade V7 is its 13-megapixel camera, which includes a two-tone flash and can focus in 0.3 seconds. On the front of the Blade V7 is a 5-megapixel snapper.
Inside of the Blade V7’s body lives an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor that’s paired with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage, and the whole package is powered by a 2500mAh battery. ZTE has also equipped the Blade V7 with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Smart Sense gesture controls.
Alongside the Blade V7, ZTE today showed off the Blade V7 Lite. As you might expect, the Blade V7 Lite is a bit of a step down in terms of specs, offering a 5-inch 1280x720 screen and quad-core MediaTek MTK6735P processor. On feature that’s unique to the Blade V7 Lite is its fingerprint reader, which is mounted on the rear of the device. The Blade V7 Lite is also packing 8-megapixel cameras on its front and rear, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 2500mAh battery. Like the Blade V7, the Blade V7 Lite is running Android 6.0.
ZTE says that the Blade V7 will launch in Germany, Spain, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Mexico by summer 2016. The Blade V7 Lite will arrive before its Blade V7 sibling, launching in Russia first followed by Mexico, Spain, Germany, and Thailand by spring 2016.
