Welcome to the second installment of the Nexus 6P Challenge. This isn't specifically about the Nexus 6P. It's actually about the lack of an eco-system to allow iPhone users to go to an Android device. First let me give you a little back story. So recently, Apple was allowed to publish their iPhone application on the Play Store, allowing their Android users to sync over to an iPhone very easily using NFC and data syncing. It's a very easy process, it works very well and Google was very kind enough to allow Apple to publish this application on the Play Store.
So say you're a current iPhone user and you're fancying yourself a Nexus 6P. So you bought one, brought it home, open up the box and you look all excited. And when you're setting it up, there's no option for you to sync your data from the iPhone. It's a little frustrating. There's no application on the App Store allowing you to transfer from iPhone to Android, there's no service you can do. You can put it on some software on a computer but not all these things will transfer over, especially app information, passwords, notes-- things like that just won't transfer over unless you do it manually. To me, that seems pretty unfair of Apple to not let Google make an application because I'm pretty sure Google has probably proposed the application to Apple several times and Apple just doesn't allow it on their App Store. But again, I do find it really odd that Google was kind enough to let Apple do it on their App Store and they're just not returning the favor.
But who knows, that's kind of a deeper discussion than this video's all about. My main point is it's really frustrating (for me anyway) to go from iPhone to Android and I really think a lot of people like to interplay and use different operating systems. A lot of people go from iPhones to Android phones, maybe even Windows phones and they like to have the ability to go through data without manually porting it over to that new device. So I really wish there was a way for iPhone users to go to an Android phone very easily.
So I'll try to make this video very short. Basically, I'm just trying to open up a dialogue and discussion below in the comments. Tell me guys what you think about the whole situation of not being able to go from an iPhone to an Android phone easily anyway. Make sure to start your comments and discussions in a comment below. If it gets really good, I'll definitely chime them in and maybe even bring it up in future videos. And for the Nexus 6P, I know this isn't really a challenge section or segment. But it's something I really want to talk about because, this is literally the best Android phone on the market right now and Android 6.0 is really a great software. I can't wait to talk more about it in my review and future challenge videos.
