Gmail isn’t the only Google-made Android app that’s getting a notable update today, because El Goog is also pushing an update to its Clock app.
This new version of Clock will gradually increase the volume of your alarms and timers so that you’re not startled awake by a super-loud alarm in the morning. You can also preemptively dismiss alarms from within the app, and if you’re not inside the app, you can still control timers from a notification.
There are also a couple of Android Wear-specific goodies included in today’s update. First is easier alarm and time management from your Android Wear smartwatch, and second is interactive alarm notifications on your watch.
Here’s Google’s official Clock update changelog:
Clock was only recently released into Google Play, but the app is becoming a solid option for folks that want to replace their device’s built-in clock app. Now Clock’s alarms will gently wake you with increasing volume for alarms, and if you’ve got an Android Wear smartwatch, it’s now even easier to manage your alarms and timers from your watch.
