Cricket Wireless customers will soon have their international features expanded.

Cricket plans to begin letting its users make unlimited calls and send unlimited texts from Canada and Mexico for no extra charge. Starting August 2, customers on the $50 Smart and $60 Pro plans will be able to make calls (both landline and mobile) and send texts (SMS only) from Mexico to the US. Calling and texting from Canada to the US will be added later in August.

Cricket subscribers on the $50 and $60 plans can already make calls and send texts from the US to Canada and Mexico. Once next month rolls around, they’ll be able to do stay in touch with folks in the US when they travel to Canada and Mexico. Sounds like a nice addition to me.
