Black Friday is one the biggest shopping days of the year, and Amazon typically blows the day out with big sales on a number of products. This year, though, Amazon is one-upping Black Friday with a day of its own.
To celebrate its 20th birthday, Amazon is holding Prime Day, a day that the company says will offer “more deals than Black Friday.” Prime Day will take place on July 15 and will start with deals at midnight in the US, with new deals coming as quickly as every 10 minutes. The catch? You’ll have to be an Amazon Prime member to take part. The sales will be available to Prime users in the US, UK, Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, and Austria.
Amazon isn’t naming any specific products that’ll be included in its Prime Day sale, but the retailer says that it’ll discount all kinds of goodies, including “electronics, toys, video games, movies, clothing, patio, lawn and garden, sports and outdoor items and more.”
With deals coming as quickly as every 10 minutes, there’s sure to be a sale or two that you want to take advantage of, so you Prime folks will probably want to keep an eye out on July 15. If you’re not an Amazon Prime member, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial that’ll let you participate in the event.
