Motorola recently began pushing Android 5.1 to the DROID Turbo, but only as a soak test to select users. The good news is that if you aren’t in that soak test, you won’t have to wait long to try Android 5.1 on the DROID Turbo yourself.

Verizon says that it’ll begin pushing Android 5.1 tomorrow, July 1, and that a manual download will be available if you don’t feel like waiting for the update. You can check for the update by going into Settings > About phone > System updates > Yes, I’m in.

In case you missed it when I updated our recent DROID Turbo Android 5.1 post, Motorola has posted a changelog for the update. As you would expect from an update that bumps the Turbo from Android 4.4.4 to 5.1, there are a lot of goodies for DROID Turbo owners to check out. So if you’ve got a Turbo, you’re going to want to start checking for that update first thing tomorrow.
