As we get closer to the expected iPhone 6s debut this fall, the rumor mill is going to start kicking into high gear with leaks and rumors regarding Apple’s next smartphone. That’s happening today, as a huge iPhone 6s leak has surfaced.

A new report from 9to5Mac includes images of what is said to be the rear shell of the iPhone 6s, and unsurprisingly, it looks largely similar to the iPhone 6. That includes the same thickness and width, which is 6.9mm and 67.0mm, respectively. The shell also shows that the iPhone 6s is likely going to have the same camera setup as the 6 — meaning the rumored dual cameras are unlikely — and the the same antenna lines and port placement.

While the outside of the iPhone 6s is expected to be similar to the iPhone 6, the internals of the new phone are expected to be refreshed. The mounting points in the new phone are moved around a bit, suggesting that Apple is planning to shift around the logic board and other components inside of the iPhone 6s.

There’s nothing terribly shocking about today’s leak, as Apple has been reusing hardware designs in its “s” model phones for years now. It is nice to get some confirmation that that’s going to happen again in 2015, though, so that that part of the iPhone 6s can be nailed down early. Since the body of the 6s will be similar to the 6, it’s likely that the 6s will get some spec upgrades, and that’s what everyone is going to be focusing on in the coming months.
