Motorola has given the Moto X (2nd Gen.) a fresh new set of leather duds.
Moto Maker, Motorola’s online customization tool for the Moto (2nd Gen.) and Moto 360, now includes a red leather option for the latest Moto X. The material is the same Horween leather as the other leather options for the Moto X (2nd Gen.), and it carries the same $25 premium as the other leather colors as well. The good news is that unlike the Verizon-exclusive football leather option that launched last year, any Moto X (2nd Gen.) can wear red leather.
While there are a few red options for Moto X (2nd Gen.) backsides — red, crimson, and spice — those are made of matte polycarbonate. The arrival of this new red leather option means that fans of the color red can now try a leather-clad smartphone, too, and anyone already interested in a leather Moto X (2nd Gen.) have a new color option available to them.
