We have found 7 reasons why the Google Nexus 6 is better than the LG G Flex 2. The first reason has to do with its build construction. It features a very premium aluminum frame that wraps around the entire device and it gives off that very premium solid feel in the hands. The back also features a quality matted plastic that blends seamlessly with the metal frame, making it feel better in the hand than the kind of slimy, plastic back found on the LG G Flex 2.

In addition to that, the Nexus 6 features a water-resistant body. Now it’s not IP68 or 67 certified but it does feature a nano coating that will protect it against rain and splashes. Basically, it will survive longer against water than the LG G Flex 2; which does not have any sort of water resistance.

And then to go along with the design, the Nexus 6 features tapered edges that are thinner than the LG G Flex 2 and makes it appear more elegant to look at as it has a nice sort of curved back with those premium materials I mentioned earlier.

Another thing that I really like about the Nexus 6 is the front-facing dual stereo speakers that sandwich the display on either side. They really do sound great especially since they are front-facing, meaning they are facing directly towards me when I watch content. And they put the LG G Flex 2 speakers to shame. Mostly, due to the fact that they are located on the back. But speaking of that display, the Google Nexus 6 does feature a higher resolution display. It’s not the brightest display between the two but it’s the most pixel-packed as it features a 2K 1440 x 2560 resolution display and a whooping 493ppi whereas the LG G Flex 2 features a pretty average 1080p display with a 403ppi.

I also just really liked the larger display. It’s obviously not for everyone, it’s going to be too big for a lot of people but at 5.96-inches, it makes it the multimedia champ. Whether you’re watching movies, YouTube videos or just browsing the web, the Nexus 6 does offer the better experience. The LG G Flex 2 does have that curved display, which kind of messes with your eyes a little bit and makes things look a tad bit 3D but it still doesn’t beat out the Nexus 6 mostly because it is smaller.

But the last reason why I think the Nexus 6 is better than the LG G Flex 2 is because the Nexus 6 runs stock Android 5.0 Lollipop. It’s fast, it’s modern and it will receive the updated version of Android before the LG G Flex 2 like Android 5.1. And it just runs the way Google intended it to whereas the LG G Flex 2 does run LG’s custom skin that works but many of the material design transitions and effects are gone. The system performance, as a whole, is noticeably hindered because the software isn’t very optimized with the internal specs. It’s not a bad OS but it does need some work.
