Apparently today is the day of the Lollipop. Following pushes from AT&T and T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular is now sending an Android 5.0 update to one of its own smartphones.
The U.S. Cellular version of the Moto X (2nd Gen.) is now getting its Lollipop update. Included are Material Design notifications, heads-up alerts, a refreshed Recent Apps menu, and more. You’ll need around 400MB of storage on your Moto X (2nd Gen.) to get this update done.
The Android 5.0 update includes a nice visual overhaul from Android 4.4, especially with a device with a nearly-untouched UI like the Moto X (2nd Gen.), and so you U.S. Cellular Moto X (2nd Gen.) owners are going to want to keep an eye out for this update. You can check for it manually by going into Settings > About phone > System updates.
