Use Instagram? If so, I’ve got some big news for you.
Instagram today announced that it’s adding five new photo filters to its apps. Those include Slumber, Crema, Ludwig, Aden and Perpetua. In addition to these new filters, today’s update will add slo-mo video uploads, real-time commenting and the ability to adjust your photo’s perspective with an adjust tool.
Instagram is also changing how it displays filters when it comes time to apply one to your photo. When you want to select a filter, you’ll be shown a blurred preview of your image with the selected filter applied. Finally, Instagram is gaining a “Manage” button at the end of the filter tray that’ll let you re-arrange the filter order, making it easier for you to get to your favorite filters.
One of the big draws of Instagram are its filters, so it’s great to see more options being added. And even if you don’t care for the new filters, the new Manage option will make it easier to get to the ones that you do like. Sounds like a good update to me.
These new features are rolling out to iOS and Android today in versions 6.4.0 and 6.12.0, respectively.
