Originally announced in January 2008, the Garmin nuvifone G60 is a bit late to the game, so we're wondering if anyone will bite when the device launches at AT&T this Sunday (October 4th). That being said, the device is a solid contender, offering a 3.55-inch resistive touchscreen, 3G connectivity, full HTML browser, 3.0-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, microSD card slot, and 4 GB of on-board memory.
The G60 will cost $299.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement, and will be available at retail locations, online, and through telesales. The cost is a bit lofty, but since there's no subscription fee required for navigation, it balances out if the feature is used on a regular basis (and hey, it's the same cost as the BlackBerry Bold, which offers no such navigation option). With the delay between announcement and launch on a US carrier, it begs the question: is anyone still interested in this unit?
