My friend Albert has me on retainer to update him with every bit of news about the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 that comes my way.  He's got his LG V (not the enV2 or enV ... the original V!) all duct-taped together and stuff trying to make it last until the X1 finally comes out in the U.S.

Well, Albert ... and everyone else out there waiting impatiently for the X1 ... here you go.  the::unwired has almost 16 minutes of hands-on video covering the latest pre-production build of SE's forthcoming Windows Mobile smartphone.  It's a long, dry video but it's chock full of useful info and footage of the X1 in action.  I must say, I'm more excited about this device than I have been in awhile - it looks much more responsive here - not to mention fully fleshed-out - than in any previous demo I've seen.  Though I am a wee bit worried about how hard it looks like Arne's mashing on the touchscreen in certain places.  Hard to say from a video of a pre-production build, though.
