The BlackBerry Classic went up for pre-order last week, but its launch is still around a month out. BlackBerry today is attempting to satiate your Classic hunger in the mean time by posting a video of the device’s tool belt.
A new video shows off the BlackBerry Classic’s send, menu, back and end buttons as well as its optical trackpad. The buttons work just as you’d expect, letting you quickly send and end calls, access an app menu or take a step back in your workflow.
These navigation buttons were heavily used on pre-BlackBerry 10 hardware, but the BlackBerry Classic is the first BB10 device to sport them, which is BlackBerry’s attempt to appeal to old-school ‘Berry fans. Whether or not this effort will result in strong Classic sales remains to be seen, but I’m sure that more than a few former BlackBerry users have had their interests piqued by the Classic’s button setup and design.
